Description

This restaurant offers a mixed experience for taco enthusiasts. While some dishes, such as Pozole and Lengua tacos, receive high praise for their flavor and authenticity, other items like churros disappoint due to poor quality and steep prices. The service is generally commendable, with quick and attentive staff, and the atmosphere leans toward an authentic Mexican vibe. However, for those seeking extraordinary tacos, the competition might be a better choice. It's worth trying for the standout dishes, but diners should approach with caution.

Delicious and fresh! We just got home after a satisfying dinner. The food was fresh—I had the Pozole soup—which was flavorful without being too salty. The service was polite and attentive, and with the music, it really felt like a Mexican experience. I plan to return, but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed enough to skip trying the competition. If I had one complaint, it would be that the soup could have been served hotter, but it still tasted great. Johnny Rome signing off for T.O. Temptations.

We tried the Pozole, which is the best I've had in Toronto so far, and the Lengua tacos, which were undoubtedly the best lengua I've tasted in the city. We also sampled the Carnitas and Cochinita Pibil. The carnitas were perfectly prepared, just as they should be in terms of flavor and texture. I can't wait to come back whenever I can make the trip; I'm especially eager to try their Birria, which is available only on Saturdays and Sundays. When it came time to pay, we were surprised to learn that there was only one woman cooking in the kitchen. This place truly is a gem!

Being from Mexico, this is the closest I've come to a home cooked meal. Authentic Mexican food!

We bought the churro bits with ice cream from the food truck at Pride. It was the worst churro I’ve ever had, I was so upset. To make matters worse, it cost $16 dollars!! They were hard like rocks and tasted stale, they weren’t even warm (which is what you want with ice cream). The ice cream itself was basic. I was so excited when the lady said we got the last churro bits, only to be heavily disappointed. Never again. Best asada fries I’ve ever had! The meat was super flavorful, fries were crispy, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. Huge portion and amazing quality. I’ll definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
