If you love HK Cafe style food, this is worth a try. Baked pork chop on rice was tasty as were the noodles. Also enjoyed the bubble waffle. Next time will try the curry ???? View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Phoenix Restaurant:
Came here once a while, price jump around 15% and the food quality and portion remain the same. I personally think this is unreasonable. Compare to other similar restaurants in the neighbor, the price is the highest. View all feedback.
We had breakfast here since it is right next door to our hotel. It offers the classic food choice that you come to expect from a Hong Kong styled café. Great milk tea and thick sweetened toast which are some of the most basic dishes...More
I ended up at this restaurant for dinner with my coworkers because it was too cold outside to walk much further. What a wonderful surprise. Restaurant is small and has a plain but efficient feel. The menu was extensive and almost too big. We almost gave up but thank goodness we didn't. We had some of the best most authentic dishes I have ever tasted since being in Hong Kong. We had 4 different dishes and shared. Each one was very good and distinct in flavour. The shrimp wonton soup was the highlight. The portions were generous too and all for a very reasonable price. They do not take credit cards though, only debit or cash so be prepared. I would definitely return if I am in the area again.
If you are in a hurry and you want to have a full meal and get going, this is the place. Oh, of course, you have to appreciate the Hong Kong interpretation of western / Asian food. An example: grilled chicken filet in Japanese sauce with fried eggs and dinner roll. The food quality was actually quite decent. No fuss and exactly as expected. Of note was the time required for your food to be ready -- faster than McDonald!!!The decor was plain (but clean enough - Chinese restaurant standard) -- but we are not here for that anyway. The service was plain too - and we are, too, not here for that either. Got to go now, I am spending too much time here. Off to 404.
My favorites. Hainanese chicken with chicken oil rice and Malaysia curry beef brisket with rice. They are always good. Enjoy every time.
Normally go for Hong Kong style breakfast, suitable for those who missed Hong Kong styled cooking. Service and food standard not as good as before. May need to wait at peak hours.
