I had wanted to try this place for a while. There have been some advertisements in karaoke screens randomly. It's located inside idarts lounge and the washrooms are located in idarts too. It gets quite noisy on weekends because there is a live dj spinning in the evening in idarts. I had the oysters which were very fresh and delish. The lamb chops were pretty average. I really wanted to try the bone marrow which was kind of greasy but I still enjoyed it! my friend had a few other dishes she said were pretty mediocre nothing special. Our cheque came close to $90 for this price I felt I could have had a much better meal else where. This is tapas but portions are definitely small. Also because it's located outside idarts it kind of distracts your dinner.
Recently opened by an entrepreneurial Chinese restaurant owner in the centre of Toronto this outstanding restaurant lounge is located in the Markham/Richmond Hill area. It is the upscale part of a very lively and well visited sports bar on the second floor of a modern office building. The electronic dart games of the tapas bar is drawing a lively, younger crowd. To find the lounge with its serious kitchen you have to enter through the sports bar. On the elaborate and outstanding menu you will besides the usual items find roasted bone marrow with garlic and thyme, seafood croquettes, mushroom phyllo, beef carpaccio, seafood linguini, sea bass with miso broth, rack of lamb and Black Angus steak. We tried a good selection of the tapas starters, which were all excellent, of which found the deep fried lotus root chips, the mushroom phyllo and the beef carpaccio with truffle oil especially outstanding - as were the fresh Australian lamb rack and the Black Angus 1855 striploin steak, aged 35 days. The wine list is very well selected and extensive with unusual offerings. The service is friendly. The modern and open décor with floor to ceiling windows and upscale brand wine crate sidings as a focal point behind the bar gives the restaurant a bright and unpretentious atmosphere. The quality of the cooking is truly outstanding and the main point of this true find in the previously bleak northern part of the Greater Toronto Area.
We came for a dinner using a Groupon coupon. Food: Hits and misses, but overall 4 stars.
We visited on Saturday, December 20th with a group of 10 people. We were able to easily make reservations in advance. The location is a bit tricky to find because it's inside iDarts.
Not your typical Markham restaurantI think it makes for a perfect date night spot.
