What User doesn't like about Golden Maki:
i usually go to Cynthia AYCE in the same area. But this time I wanted to try a different one. I tried Golden. The food variety is very little (but the price is almost same as other AYCE.) Dessert section has only ice-cream. Compared with other AYCE, they have more choices such as cakes/mousse/cream puff. Also udon choices are not many. Sushi Buffet. My friend took me to this sushi restaurant for the first time last week. The decor is very nice and clean. We had the all you can eat lunch and i was very impress by their sushi they are so fresh and the size of the rolls are very decent. I also recommend the fried ice cream...it's delicious! I would go back again and try their dinner
I've been to better sushi places this place is alright. My sashimi was served warm and all my other kitchen foods were cold!!!!! :
Bin and Dave. These guys must own a competitor's restaurant. They don't know what they are talking about. I've eaten sushi, tempura, and sashimi for about 30 years. I've probably eaten in about 30 different restaurants. I've had not so fresh (not flash) fish and I agree it's pretty disgusting, but Golden Maki has always been a top notch choice. They have great saki choices too. If you like all you can eat, this is THE place to go. Best in Newmarket (and there are a lot of sushi restaurants here).

Love It!!. Excellent menu, great take out, and awesome all you can eat lunch. Best sushi I've found outside of the lower mainland BC!
