We got the regular peking duck for $34. We didn't need all of the extras that comes with the premium version. I liked how crispy the skin was. The duck meat could have been more seasoned but we are not in Beijing. The sweet crispy shrimp was tasty bit a little spendy for $20. What User doesn't like about Dayali:
The food is very good at Dayali. However, we recently ordered a take-out, including a 5 pound lobster. When we opened up the lobster, it looked and felt much smaller than 5 pounds, although the size of the head indicated that whatever was there was from a large lobster. Upon closer examination, we could not find any tail meat! Is it possible that they sold us the rest of the lobster, but used the tail meat for anothe... View all feedback.
This review pertains specifically to the 160 York Boulevard location but I just wanted to share about this terrible chain restaurant:__BEWARE OF SCAM.
I recommend calling ahead and getting a reservation before heading to this restaurant.
I visited with my family for an authentic Peking duck.

That was not good. The service could be better as it seems rushed. Waiters needs to be trained to put plates and dishes down gently. This is supposed to be a nice restaurant, not some hole in the wall.
We went a couple times earlier on when it opened, and the food/service/price was pretty fair for a more upscale restaurant. I even purchased their VIP card for $20 (gets you some items at "member prices.") I've only been back once more unfortunately, not because it's no good, but there's just a lot of choices in the area. And other than the Peking Duck, nothing really stood out so much that I would purposely go there. So after trying this place 3 times, I'd still recommend it for the Peking Duck. They have 2 different types, and one is a bit more $(10 more.?) Me and a buddy went and ordered both types to compare head-to-head, and ate it all! The more unique one does taste different, while the cheaper one is like any other Chinese restaurant. So if you're going to try this place, pay the extra, and enjoy the more expensive one.If you're going to be more thrifty and get the cheaper version, you may as well go somewhere else in Richmond Hill and pay $10-15 less.
