The parking at this location is a nightmare. Now, a busy parking lot is usually a good indication of the popularity of the food, and while I'm sure that's true here, it's also a bit cramped for space. The veal on a bun sandwiches are fantastic, but you might get some sticker shock when you see your bill. My order was for three veal sandwiches with provolone and mushrooms, and I was out the door for a staggering $34. T... View all feedback.

I have been eating at California sandwiches at Sheppard and Wilson location for years.Recently tried this location for the first time since we moved very close to Richmond hill in Vaughan. Somehow I noticed that their veal was tougher and the portion of the breaded veal that they put on the bun was 30% less than the other locations. Once was enough! View all feedback.
Ordered here for a work lunch. Decent prices, huge portions. Veal, eggplant, and veggie sandwiches were cooked great. Steak was a little rough, and thicker cut than similar sandwich places, but still ok. Staff were prompt and had everything in order before I arrived. They seem to have lots of staff on during lunch service, which is nice to see. Per person was roughly $15…but worth the portion size.
The food is always fresh and deliciousAuthentic ItalianGreat place to eat in or take out is fast and simple
I have visited several California Sandwich Shops in the Greater Toronto Area and other locations, but this particular location was the best I've been to. The sandwiches were tasty and generous in size, the interior was clean and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and friendly.
The staff seemed disinterested and bothered by customers coming in to order food. Some employees were on their phones not working, appearing unhappy about having to do their job. The tables were dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week. As a result, I decided to take the food to go. The veal and meatball sandwich both had a strange taste and the sandwich was soggy. Unable to finish the meal due to a bad odor, I threw it in the garbage. Unfortunately, I became ill with food poisoning the next day, likely caused by food that had been left out too long or was not cooked properly. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
This restaurant in the Greater Toronto Area serves the most delicious eggplant parm sandwiches. My husband and I make sure to visit every time we are in the area, even though we live in Stouffville. We are looking forward to bringing our daughter here for the first time. The sandwiches are large, flavorful, and saucy. They are a bit expensive, but definitely worth it. Vegetarians will be happy to know that they have a great option in the eggplant parm sandwich.
