Big Bone BBQ - York

I was blown away by the food and service. This is one of the best BBQ joints I've been to, the ribs an wings are just amazing. The ladies @ the register are super friendly and helpful. The place is smaller, so expect a wait..I usually do Take-Out. This is a must try if you're in the area.

Visited restaurant just after lunch time and was quite empty. Ordered recommended meal by staff and impressed at the size of serving. The proportion was well worth the cost but does lack flavour. It is still good and I was able to enjoy the meal.Staff is friendly and able to quickly recommend what to pick on menu.

We happened upon this restaurant for an early dinner. It looks quite nice from the road but the interior is a little on the shabby looking however, just on the border of looking shabby-chic. Regardless, everything was clean and you can actually see into the cooking area which was also clean. The food was what we were there for though, and that was amazing. Lots of restaurant reviews posted on the wall and clearly they have a strong following. We shared a platter of ribs and wings with two sauces, one mild and one somewhat spicier. Good value for price. Can't wait to go back next time we're in the area.

Ordered food for a party this weekend and found it to be inconsistent, which has happened before. They have really good food sometimes but it's hit and miss.This​ time the ribs were dry and the wings barely had any sauce. Also they were sold out of corn bread at 530 on a Saturday.....so they subbed a gravy and threw in two bonus slices of corn bread. The thing was they were two different sizes and had bits of gravy on them and very dry which gave the ​impression that these were left over or somethingBecause we takeout there is no easy way to check it out or change anything so they should be more on top of the takeout orders.
