I had only ever been there once before...YEARS ago. I wasn't impressed, so I hadn't been back. Today's visit was a completely different experience. Everyone was very friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely go back soon. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Moe's Southwest Grill:
Once we got home with our meal, we realized that we never received the queso cups we had ordered. Unfortunately, it wasn't feasible to load a toddler back up to go ask for it, and honestly, I don't think the staff that evening would have been very concerned about it either. Once we got home with our meal, we realized that we never received the queso cups we had ordered. Unfortunately, it wasn't feasible to load a toddler back up to go ask for it, and honestly, I don't think the staff that evening would have been very concerned about it either. We love Moe's, but this experience has left us feeling a bit put off for a while. I should have taken it as a sign when we didn't hear the usual "Welcome to Moe's" when we walked in, which really disappointed my child. It seems like this location has its highs and lows.
The experience was average. I wasn't particularly impressed with my burrito; it had a strange, watery flavor that I didn't enjoy. On the positive side, the staff were friendly. Overall, I would give it a 2 out of 5 for the food.
The portions here are rather small. I recommend going to Chipotle instead, as their bowls are overflowing and the servings seem to be twice as large. On the plus side, Moe's does offer free chips, which is a nice touch.
I love Moe's restaurants as a whole. I frequently go to the one in Reading Lancaster and york. Last night my wife, my son, and I stopped in after hockey games in Washington DC on our way home. There were people in line in front of us. It was 7:45 when we were able to order and they close at 8:00. The one woman worker made it very clear that they closed at 8:00 and we said we understood but we still wanted to order. Two of the workers started getting very snarky and belligerent with us because we still wanted to order. Keep in mind it was still before their closing time. They no longer had several items to put on the tacos and quesadilla like lettuce, tomato, and a couple other things, salsa was put away and the Griddle was turned off so my quesadilla was not fully cooked. We sat down and ate our meal and the workers continued to be unkind to us. We left at 8:15 while they were cleaning up. At the end of the day I'm not upset if people start cleaning up at their closing time while we're there, but please have a full menu and be kind to people and serve them the proper all the way up until you close.
This is my go to for great prices on great food. Love the portions. I hope that does not change.Food: 5/5
