Wagamama - York

This was my first time dining at Wagamama, and I had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, the ambiance was wonderful, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and extremely cautious about accommodating allergies.

We are here in York for a week celebrating my husband's 72nd birthday. We came to Wagamama on our 1st night; 18th September. We both have mobility issues and we're given a high booth table by the lovely Ellie who also took our drinks order provided my GF menu. Nathan our server was super friendly too; checking if my husband had eaten the spicy chicken dish he had chosen for his main meal beforehand as well as their famous chilli squid! I'm the total opposite and Ellie was on hand to advise on the mildest options as I wanted to try a different starter this time and managed to do so! We went back again last night, after I had gone in the afternoon to see if I could make a reservation for the evening. The lovely young guy doing front of house explained they didn't do reservations but given our limited mobility if we rang 20 minutes before we wanted our table, they would make sure we got a high booth table- that's what I call great customer service! When we arrived, the same young man I'm so sorry I didn't get his name) showed us to our table and Jack was our server for the meal Again; super friendly: checking my husband knew how hot the chicken rice dish was and before we knew it our drinks were there! All in all amazing customer service from Ellie; Nathan Jack and superb freshly cooked to order food in the heart of York!! Highly recommend you visit ; you won't be disappointed!

Me and my friend went in last night for dinner and was served by the lovely Nathan. He was very helpful in ensuring we knew how Wagamamas works and how we receive food (my friend had never been). He also helped a lot with my friends choice of food and was also very sweet to have a chat with whenever he came over. Nathan was amazing!

We had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant, thanks to the wonderful service from Tina. The friendly staff made us feel welcomed and checked in on us regularly to ensure our meal was enjoyable. We will definitely be returning in the future.
