Quite wonderful. The most imaginative pairings of flavours that anyone could dream up. We went for the lunchtime tasting menu and everything was absolutely stunning, starting with the cocktails. The wine pairing was inspired, with the biggest surprise being a fabulous Polish dessert wine. Service was friendly and absolutely impeccable. View all feedback.
At the moment there are 169 michelin in Britain, of which 66 in london. if my dissatisfied hunger had his wise, we would visit each week and about four years later, give or take some new supplements, we would eventually rush them all out of the list and most likely be bankrupt. let's be honest, we're not out of money, so even a month is a bit wounded, so what do we think to pack three in three days!?
The black swan was the only restaurant in the northern englands to enter the michelin star club in 2012. on a rainy Saturday afternoon shortly before Christmas we found out why. we were in yorkshire over the celebrations and this place was on our radar for a past, so it was the perfect opportunity to see what the whole thing is. it is probably a bit understatement for me to say that it was “rainness” because by what resembled a stream we were going to get there, but to come there we did. have no fear, but our aquatic experience was square the debt of google navigation! When we finally arrived, we were warmly welcomed and showed up until the bar, where we decided on lunch tasting. six courses in a michelin stared restaurant for £35 is an absolute bargain and they know how we feel about bargain! before we were brought to our table, we enjoyed a funny bag. an espressotasse filled with warming butternut quash soup and covered with tomato and goat cheese.
Smoked eel with apfel, beetroot horseradish – a simple dish of balanced aromen (especially the Crème kingdoms and smoke that does not overpower as they won their.)
A really fantastic experience. we were guided by a varied and interesting tasting menu that presented some great British ingredients. to combine this, we also enjoyed a series of brilliant, rare weeping from a well curated list. the location was warm, informal and very comfortable. the overnight room was well furnished, while the breakfast next morning lived up to the standards of the dinner of the previous night, I cannot praise the restaurant strong enough.
Fabulous experience from start to finish. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere, with a steady pace of service not at all rushed. This was a birthday surprise from my partner and it was such a treat. Lovely staff, stunning location and some dishes with flavours I’ve never tried before. Thoroughly recommend and we’ll be sure to go again
