What Bill C likes about The Bay Horse:
Great little pub. Two different bars, so you can choose to sit with the younger crowd, or at my age, the quieter side by the fire ! Good food and decent choice of ales, although I'm a cider drinker ! Wine tasting and various other events keeps it interesting. Dog friendly, in fact our pooch was looked after food and drink wize, pretty much as quickly as we were. Steps to get into the pub might be difficult for wheelc... View all feedback. What Sharon C doesn't like about The Bay Horse:
The site has no restaurant, so no food here, which means dinner and breakfast offsite or brought in. The landlady was helpful, but you have to be aware guests are often unsupported at night on site; more like a self catered room. However the rooms are fresh and clean and facilities in good order. Parking available at site. View all feedback.

read moreThe Bay Horse is a traditional pub located just inside the ring road on the south side of York. Although there is no restaurant on-site, guests can enjoy clean and well-maintained rooms with parking available. The service and atmosphere are rated 3 out of 5. The pub offers two different bars to cater to a variety of clientele, with good food, a decent choice of ales, and various events to keep things interesting. While prices may be on the higher side, the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a great spot to visit when in York.
