Absolutely delicious. highly recommended for her tapas and sherry wein. the staff are very friendly when asked for recommendations and explanations. the restaurant area is somewhat narrow, but the entire atmosphere is pleasant. first restaurant in Great Britain I have seen that served sherry flights, from fino to oloroso, and even px. better to try to ask before ordering as each individual comparison with traditional wein and it is definitiw not for everyone. nothing I can talk about tapas, they just order everything and they will all end and want to order more.

Beautiful selection of delicious dressed and friendly staff who gave some great suggestions. the squash with feta and the flower cabbage were particularly good.

Had lunch at Tabanco this week. Was Mum daughter lunch. It has a lovely warm atmosphere and the staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drink on the menu. Justin was particularly good and deserves a big thank you for making our lunch memorable! I found all the tapas to be very authentic and tasted delicious. In particular, the champińones were sublime. The wine list was amazing and the prices were very good Altogether, we had a fab afternoon and can highly recommend a visit to this gorgeous restaurant Looking forward to our next visit

Tabanco is a little tapas gem that I'm so glad we found! Beautifully decorated inside, spectacular service from the friendly and attentive staff and the food was the best tapas I've ever had. I also loved that there was a small selection of desserts which you don't usually get at tapas restaurants, we shared the 'Burnt Basque cheesecake with sherry soaked raisins' and it was to die for. If it wasn't for the fact we'd eaten so much beforehand we would have had one each. We shared a delicious jug of white sangria and got a very kind complimentary glass of fizz as it was our anniversary. All round brilliant experience here and we will definitely be going back next time we visit York.

What a delightful restaurant! The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. The food is amazing, and the wine is both fantastic and reasonably priced. We also had the pleasure of learning about Spanish sherry, which was a wonderful experience! This place is definitely worth a visit!
