Madhatters Coffee Cakes - York

We all love this place.My daughter visited today 22/08/2021 but sadly it wasn,t open. I wish they had put a note on either here or their Facebook and Instagram pages.

Came for afternoon tea with my partner and was not disappointed! The cafe is so quirky and spread out over a few floors above the teddy bear shop and is just absolutely lovely. Every bit of the food was gorgeous and the waitress was lovely. Thank you for having us x

We visited this restaurant for afternoon tea and found the space to be cool, quirky, and cosy. The food presented was impressive and our afternoon tea experience was no different. The service was good and the food was delicious!

Bought this for my Mum and her friend. They love to have an afternoon tea and a long chat. Have visited before and it was superb so thought I would treat them. Just heard back from them and they have had an amazing Afternoon Tea. Said to start with there was a cup of Bacon and Lentil soup which was under welcome due to the cold wintry sea breeze in Brid. Followed on with a wide variety of sandwiches, pork pie, numerous cakes and scone. Not one thing could they fault. Must remember to say they also said the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and deserved a special mention. Think I may have to book them in again soon or visit myself, or both.

This restaurant is such a unique gem! Not only is it charmingly different, but the food is absolutely fantastic and the service is top-notch. The waitress was wonderful with our two young daughters, and I can't recommend this place enough. The historic building adds to the charm. Make sure to stop by for one of the best breakfasts in York.
