Imlee Spice - York

I initially had some concerns after the restaurant changed names, but decided to give them another chance by placing a second order. I was pleasantly surprised with my meal consisting of a madras, korma, and chicken saag as everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. Additionally, the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating.

2 hour waiting time for a take away, cold food when it arrived, the meat in both currys was clearly frozen as I couldn't even chew the lamb, watery curries with no flavour. Disappointing.

This was our first time ordering from this restaurant, and unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The chicken korma was extremely watered down and had no flavor at all. The chips were also very hard, almost as if they had been cooked and reheated before serving. To make matters worse, the final bill came out to just under £20, but they charged us more when we got there. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

As a mid-week treat, Imlee Spice is great for a perfect takeaway evening meal. The vegetable side dishes are well cooked, simple and delicious. Mains are hearty and very good value. Delivery is quick. Nice people too. If you're looking for proper, tasty, nutritious food, this is the place to go.

This place used to be great, now it’s horrendous. From placing an order to delivery, it took over 2 hours to arrive. (After we were initially told 45mins) The food was shocking, I don’t think the rats at the local landfill will eat it, because that’s where it’s all headed.
