Bistro At The York Theatre Royal

As club members, we called ahead to purchase our tickets for the summer season. Since it was lunchtime, we decided to stay and have a meal. The special of the day was a delicious beef casserole in red wine served with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was outstanding in every way, with the meat being tender, plentiful, and succulent. Priced at £10, it was also a fantastic value. The service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. This restaurant definitely deserves more support.

I had a delightful meal at the cafe for lunch today. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were fantastic, offering helpful advice on food intolerances and the menu. We enjoyed our meal outside in the charming patio garden area, but the indoor space also looked inviting.

My friends and I dined at this restaurant before a matinee performance of a fantastic show about the York suffragettes. The coffee was delicious and the Scallywag we tried was very tasty. A Scallywag is their take on Betty's Fat Rascal (TM). The meal was reasonably priced and we all enjoyed our experience.

This was one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant. There were 36 actors in the King and I performance, all of whom were dressed in their best big sweaters. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, all staff greeted us with smiles and were very friendly. The service at the food counter was excellent and reasonably priced. We found a nice spot to sit while waiting for the show to start. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and we were very satisfied with our visit. The show was also fantastic - we give it 5 stars.
