Betty's Cafe Tea Rooms - York

On June 1st, 2024, we had a great time at the restaurant. We loved the coffee and the Gooey Rascal Apple tart was delicious. Highly recommended! Many thanks to our server Pam for her lovely welcome and attentive service. It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we misplaced our receipt and were unable to complete the Betty's survey.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at the afternoon tea at this restaurant. The staff were outstanding and everything was perfect - a memory we will never forget. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones were lovely, especially the orange flavored ones, and the cakes were superb. This cafe is a fantastic place for afternoon tea and is definitely worth the money.

We were delighted to have a reserved table when we saw the long line to get in. The Afternoon Tea was lovely, but we typically wouldn't spend £39.95 each for lunch. It was our first time in York and Betty's had been recommended by friends twice. The sandwiches and scones were delicious, but the cakes were not as good. We appreciated that we could ask for more, which we did. The staff was lovely and the atmosphere felt like stepping back in time. The pianist added a special touch to the occasion. We would definitely recommend it.

We were here for Afternoon Tea in the Belmont Room which was such a fantastic experience. Such a lovely atmosphere, beautiful setting. It felt like a treat we were treated like royalty by the very friendly attentive knowledgeable staff. The quality of the food was of a very high standard, food was very fresh and very tasty. There was a good choice of teas, caffeinated non-caffeinated.

We had the traditional afternoon tea which was very nice but should be for £29:95 it includes four 1/4 sandwiches different filling 1 fruit scone with cream jam 3 very small cakes 1 pot of traditional tea : which were all very nice I suppose you are paying for the Betty’s tearoom name , staff were pleasant ; I’m glad I’ve been but not in a hurry to go back
