I had expectations for such a deli but am very disappointed. The chicken cutlet hero was missing the roasted red peppers I ordered. Overall the hero tasted bland. The chicken, lettuce, tomatoes onions did not add any flavor to the oil vinegar, and black pepper. The meat was dry. View all feedback.
My family and friends have been eating Avitabile for years, they do an amazing job with everything. Your hot food is great and they have a nice selection of salads. I especially enjoy their hero sandwiches, they are pretty hearty and a great value. I recently worked with the manager Joe to offer sandwiches for a party with about 100 people. He helped me with the perfect variety and quantity, given the number of people and so on. The chicken stall with roasted red pepper and mozzarella was the most popular. They also offer this same sandwich with eggplants as one of their vegetarian options. The service is always superior, they were friendly enough to cut them into different sizes, so I can fit everything easily in my car - and with very safe packaging. Avitabile is one of the few remaining family businesses you can count on. The quality was consistently excellent, everything tastes just as good as a decade ago.
Lived Italian shops have a wide selection of pasta. The fresh mozzarella is delicious. We'll stop when I'm in the neighborhood.
Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious I love the salted mozzarella cheese.
Avitable Deli is an excellent neighborhood Italian Deli Store! Located on McLean Ave in Yonkers NY, close to Bronx River Rd and at the northern end of Webster Ave, close to the Bronx border. I'm going here to buy green olives, small mozzarella balls and the artichoke hearts, even broccoli rave if they don't run out... and they're all excellent! Staff are very friendly and they have many people working behind the counter to help you. I highly recommend them and I will be back soon for more green olives! Olives are such a delicious and healthy snack and they make a great side dish to your meal! I enjoy the little Mozzarella cheese balls in the morning in my house with a beautiful freshly made black coffee and toast!
Great neighborhood Italian deli caterer. It 's as genuine as Italian delis go. And Bronx/Yonkers Italians know their stuff! Hot food display makes you want one of everything! Have used the for family parties. Always a home run.
