beautiful place and also a good contribution to responsible hospitality: e.g. mineral water from a jug, no single straws etc. they compensate for the booked car/motorcycle transport with trees. as a traveling woman it was great to get a female cyclist and tour guide, flowing in English and great company. had the green Papaya salad and it nanka. Got some great western style food here We spoke to the waitress told her we were vegan and to be overly cautious we also confirmed what vegan meant and what we couldn’t eat She went through the menu of what we could have and also confirmed it with kitchen She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to adapting dishes to suit our needs If you’re craving some western food I would recommend but definitely c... I am very sorry but this resto has lost his magic.. I remember via via with their great food a years a go. I came back with my husband for dinner and their food is so bad, my prawn laksa was no taste at all and a bit rotten. Their beras kencur jamu also taste weird.. my husband had his stroganoff and it was okay. Just okay. I read some of the reviews before we went there and I have to say that most of their bad reviews are correct. The restaurant was empty. That's explained a lot since I remember via via was always full. Please owner, do something about this, read all the reviews and maybe you can do something about it. I used to love via via and I would love to love via via still..
I ate here for (late) lunch, it's almost dinner tbh. Ordered chicken shawarma and long black. Coffee was too bitter, thought they brew robusta bean , shawarma was okay...much too stingy in yoghurt portion
It’s definitely a tourist restaurant, so expect flavorless food for a high price. I do think this place is expensive for the city. It’s tasteless, my friends said the same things about their meal vegan and non vegan. I think you have wayyy better options in the surroundingS. I got the Viavia salad and I was disappointed about how little tempeh there was in it. The Kambucha tasted like sugar in water.
Price is fine. But accordingly small portions. Taste was average
Nice place and also a good contribution to responsible hospitality: eg mineral water from a jug, no single use straws etc. Their travel agent is also worth to check out. They compensate booked car/motorbike transport with trees. As a female travelling alone it was great to get a female bike driver and tour guide, fluent in English and great company. Had the green papaya salad and es nanka.
