They a... read more During our recent trip to Yeppoon, we dined at the Strand three or four times. It's a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner, offering an excellent pub menu. They actively support local talent by hosting live bands, and the pub stays open late with music. Situated right on the main Esplanade, it provides wonderful views and caters to a variety of guests. There's a great beer garden out back, a substantial pub menu, pool tables, a gaming room, and an upstairs function room. Out of all the places we explored, this is by far the best pub in Yeppoon.

The presentation was stunning. The pearl couscous was fresh and paired well with the dressing. The kitchen managed to bring out all our meals at the same time, and they were all delicious. The menu features all the classic pub dishes, along with some modern options, ensuring there's something for everyone. They also have a great cocktail selection, including both timeless favorites and innovative new choices, all at fantastic prices. The venue itself is well-organized, clean, and tidy, with lovely views of the water. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable pub night in Yeppoon!

The food was good a... read more We had a wonderful evening here last night celebrating with family. The wait team were just lovely. All we encountered smiling and charming. The food was good as pub food goes) with a decent selection but somewhat hit miss in the execution. My twin adored his crumbed/roasted barramundi salad. My brother-in-law was less thrilled with his prosciutto-wrapped prawns: the menu photo showed these served atop salad and with the sauce in a small bowl. What he got was 3 prawns plonked on a plate it was also ordered as a main size but that seemed to have got missed along the way). Sadly they had run out of cos lettuce so no Caesar salad for me although somewhat baffled they didn’t offer to make it using the mixed lettuce that was used in the barra salad) so I ordered the 3 cheese pizza instead. Whilst the lads devoured it, it was not something I’d have again. Just very ordinary taste-wis but decent size. My mister had the crispy prawn roll and this was superb! We ended the night with **** Marys which is where the service really kicked in: they’d run out of tomato juice so the barman ducked out and went to the IGA to purchase some so he could deliver on this request! Now that is service above beyond.

Offering pizza, chips and about 5 basic choices. The waitress said “we are running out of chefs”. We had a drink and left. We weren’t the only people that left without ordering. The website still advertises a full menu and still has a specials board online. Will not return.
