I had been to this restaurant a few times for a walk with my dog and a drink, but had never tried their Sunday roast until today. It was clear that the roast was very popular, so we decided to give it a go. I was impressed by the excellent roast with beautiful fresh vegetables and I especially enjoyed the sweet cauliflower cheese. The meat was tender and overall it was a great meal. Very friendly staff and table service, large meals, no room for a desert. The food was reasonable quality, the menu was the same old pub grub you got in the 70s. Not far from a cycle track and footpaths, who else could consume 3 courses here but a cyclist or walker? Lovely quiet location in a small Dartmoor village. View all feedback.
We try to go to the Skylark for a meal out 3 to 4 times a year. We have learnt to book even if it is lunch time as the place is a must for a meal, or even just to go for a drink. The place can only be described as a typical countryside pub, where you are made to feel welcome whether you are a regular or your first visit. This is was the wife!s birthday and the steaks we had were perfectly done. Roll on our next trip there. Parking: Sometimes the carpark is busy sometimes it is easy to get into.
Lovely country pub, not too far from Plymouth. Around 20 minutes from the city centre, in the village of Clearbrook on the edge of Dartmoor. Good food and drink at good prices. Parking: On the pub premises and road along side. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free street parking
This charming village restaurant provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere with fantastic value for money and delicious Sunday roast. Although there was a minor booking issue, we were accommodated with a table and received excellent hospitality from the staff. Overall, we rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5. The average price per person is around £70-80.
Great little family run pub, great staff and amazing food. Highly recommended! The special menu items are always changing. 14 hoisin duck pizza I had today (bargain at under £15) was really good. I've been coming back every week since I discovered this quirky little establishment! Vegetarian options: Dietary restrictions: Kid-friendliness: Family and dog friendly Price per person: £10–20
We had a group meal at this restaurant on Saturday, October 15th, 2023. The atmosphere was brilliant, the staff were excellent and friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic! Les, the host and landlord, was top class. Thank you from Sussex Search Rescue! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
