East End Sports Club

After walking in we were greeted with a curt 'Yes' and a blank stare. Not the most welcoming way to greet a customer. We waited ages for a waitress to come and take our order and had to ask for our order to be taken. We were then told that if we wanted a drink we had to go to the bar at the other end of the club. When the food arrived one of the dishes was wrong, unless vegetable fried rice is supposed to have prawns and chicken, the szechuan steak was bland and tasteless, the Chinese vegetable and mushroom dish was 4 mushrooms and a pile of Bok Choy stalks with a watery sauce. I didn't think the prices were better than any other local restaurant and the food and service were very poor.

Excellent Chinese food, service and price. A hidden gem. We have followed this chef from another restaurant and he always serves impeccable meals. The setting is pleasant, wine very reasonable, girls obliging and friendly, and the price exceptional

We always eat at the east end sports club. Food great staff great. And u can get a cold beer which is always great.

Chinese in the 'Hidden Dragon', Australian and Roasts in the Bistro, or share eats with friends in the Lounge. Good meal specials, service, and happy atmosphere. Great little club with courtesy bus and $1 life membership.

Great service with very friendly staff. You may choose from a bistro servery or a Chinese restaurant. I prefer the latter. I visit this club on a regular basis and have always found the food to be first class. Unlike a local trend to have Chinese meals prepared and offer as a all you can eat style. The food at this restaurant is always cooked as ordered.
