My girlfriend and I split the large Ethiopian bowl for a great price. It was phenomenal. Best part was the owner, amazing woman who wanted to have good conversations. She has us try her cheese sauce and ice cream (best vegan versions of either that ice ever had) on the house. Great experience, will definitely be back soon. View all feedback.
My friend and I shared the amazing Ethiopian bowl at a great price. It was phenomenal. The highlight of the experience was the owner, an incredible woman who enjoyed engaging in good conversations. She even treated us to her cheese sauce and ice cream (the best vegan versions I've ever had) on the house.
Jane, the owner, was very attentive to us. The menu at this restaurant is always changing, and everything is vegan. The atmosphere of the place is perfect. They even treated us to a complimentary dessert of homemade decadent cakes with coffee and cardamom ice cream. Despite being a fine dining establishment, the prices are very reasonable.
I just had an amazing experience at Black Barn Veganry with my husband. We tried the pad Thai, the be kind burger with sweet chili sauce, potato and leek soup, onion naan, and even got a delicious sample of cinnamon walnut bread while we waited. The restaurant may be small, but it definitely packs a punch! I highly recommend this place to vegans and non-vegans alike. The menu seems to change regularly, but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the chef even came out to discuss the spice level of my husband's Pad Thai to ensure it was perfect for him. When you find a gem like this with great food and people who are passionate about what they do, you have to share it with the world. Don't miss out on visiting this little bistro soon!
This was one of the best restaurants I was living in my life. the owner was such a pleasure to speak! the food was from this world! when you go, try the vegan ice!
I'm not sure. I'd eat here every week if I were a native. I love to try new things, and I will be so burned on vegan options are the same everywhere I go. my friend and I shared an absolutely tasty Ethiopian plate with nebelwurst (spiced red lenses,) bozena shiro (chickpea sauce with sincean tibs,) and they’abesha gomen (smart collar) served with injera. it was a wonderful series of interesting aromas and textures, everything was well balanced and spiced. we also had an incredibly sweet potato stew. the portions are hearty, between us we couldn't finish everything. the high point of my visit was still to come. jane, when I learned that it was my birthday, brought me a mini chocolate cake with a full coffee ice cream on the head. The cakes were not yet a menu item, but something they have to bake and have to handle. I wouldn't have had cake on my birthday, otherwise it was one of the kindest things a stranger ever did for me. it brought a little magic to my special day that I had not felt since I was a child. the cake and the ice were heavenly. rich in taste and perfect in texture. jeni is better to watch, because that is dangerous. there is a kind of hottering at work in this kitchen!
