This is an amazing discovery in the beautiful city of Yazd. The space is imaginatively filled with local hand made crafts, a cafe set in huge air conditioned courtyard, and spread over several floors. The pinnacle however is the roof terraces, giving views across rooftops towards the mosque. A totally unexpected gem amongst the alleys, twisting and turning in the Old Town and the staff are delightfully helpful, wanti... View all feedback.
What Roger S doesn't like about Rafiean's Old House/ The Tourist Library:
It's a nice place for a refreshing drink but the view from the roof is nothing special, we had a better view over the city from the Yazd Backpacker Hostel. The libary drink is quite refresring (60'000 Rial). View all feedback.
A nice family-run authentic place with a library/book store, cafe, gallery, shop and a roof terrace with beautiful views of the City. Fully enjoyed our time here by browsing books and authentic local materials, having a cool drink and shooting beautiful photos of the surroundings from the roof terrace. Worth having a break here while trotting the beautiful desert city of Yezd...
The features and characteristics of the design of this historical old house indicate that Rafieian House was built in the late Islamic era after the name of his owner Mr. Rafieian. This building is one of the precious houses of Fahhadan district which is located in the old city of Yazd and has an exterior and an interior courtyard. The interior porch is situated inside the building which accesses to the exterior courtyard. At the time being, this house is used as a library and a coffee shop hosting the visitors and tourists. Rafieian House was registered in Iran National Monuments with the registration no. 31285.
This is also known as the Tourist Library. Inside It’s hard to know if is a café, a library, a shop, a museum or altogether. People are very friendly and the view from the top is impressive! Definitely have a look and a drink here if you are in Yazd.

In this beautiful building, in addition to accessing books related to tourism in different languages of the world, you can also see the architecture and handicrafts of the ancient city of Yazd. Meanwhile, on the roof of this building, you can see several tourist and historical monuments with a 360-degree view.
