I needed to order gluten free, and was pleased to find that was easy (pumpkin and ch... read more We sat on the deck, on a cool day. Close to the heater, it was quite comfy. I needed to order gluten free, and was pleased to find that was easy (pumpkin and chick pea curry, just the ticket). My companion had a pair of little savoury tarts, which he really enjoyed. We sat outside specially to keep an eye on the water. There was a lovely little grebe keeping us company. This cafe is attached to the tourist information Centre, which you really must visit. We were there a bit late in the afternoon, and other lunch venues in town were closing up, so it was good to see this lovely spot open.

Plenty of gluten free options (just make sure to note this preference to the friendly staff). The deck out the back is a great spot to eat, rain or sunshine, with a wonderful view of the water bridge. We will be back!

The service is quite prompt, with dishes brought out in a timely manner. However, one of the staff members has shown a rather rude demeanor while attending to customers on the deck.
