Deb's Bakehouse - YARRAGON

Deb's is run by a friendly and enthusiastic group who have turned an old bank (with walk in safe) into an attractive bakery cafe. It is clean, colourful and bright. The only downside is that the food and coffee tend towards the bland. My toasted sandwich and coffee were inexpensive, but tended to be down on flavour. With so many bakeries in town Deb's has to find some point of difference.

I did a right hand turn before heading up to east gippsland for some contract work, great quick service at the very hours of the wee morning, and so cheap. Been back a few times too. easy access and location.

Called in the other day for something quick to eat on the way east and the one dollar cheese toastie was perfect. Friendly service and quite a few others coming in all the time so other food must be good.

I love the cakes, they are yummo! Cute little bakery in a great location on the highway, always very friendly staff & they have plenty of other food choices to satisfy anybody.

Stopped in Trafalgar on the way back to Melbourne for lunch and we were not interested in sitting down and waiting for some fancy (and overpriced) cafe fare so headed to the bakery. Although they were about to close they were only too happy to serve us food - pasty and rolls, coffees quickly, at good value and with a smile. Food was tasty, coffees were good, what's not to like?
