The Ritz - Yangon

The Ritz Restaurant is still closing during Covid-19 pandemic and will reopen soon. It has a variety of menu served for you with very convienince location, a famous Restaurant in Yangon. Good hospitality and highly recommended.

Fine dining level of service and ambiance, nice cold bottles of beer and mugs, but way overpriced compared to what you can find at most all other options in Yangon (and really all of Myanmar). Large Myanmar beer for 6000 mmk, the most we paid in all of Myanmar. Food was ok but didn 't impress (although we only had marinara pizza, decent thin crust but rather bland sauce considering it 's an italian restaurant). The decor is nice and service was fast and friendly, although the place was dead when we were there, late on a Tuesday. Wanted to eat upstairs but we were disappointed when they told us it was only open for parties and events. Also, wanted to have beer from their draft but was told the tap was not working yet. Seems to cater to expats, especially those on a company account or out with business associates and don 't mind paying western prices .

Excellent Italian food with great service and friendly staff. For some reason does not appear to have been “discovered” and as a result has not been crowded during our visits. The location on the main road makes parking a bit trickier during rush hours which may be discouraging some customers but well worth the effort. Also might suggest a name change to something more Italian.
