I had to go to the bathroom during our 2.5-hour dinner and the workers saw me as if I were suspicious. it was very strange and so felt the whole environment. according to our opinion, it was a very unique experience, but probably not worth what we paid.
I often find that non-vegan, but vegan-friendly restaurants in japan tend to simply remove animal products from their directed rather than create something completely new. so I was so happy with my culinary experience in sankara. I was in the hotel for a few days with a friend who worked on a project and eating every one I had was an absolute joy. from breakfast to dinner, the chefs in sankara continue to offer delicious food at any meal. my friend, who is not vegan, eventually changed to the vegan kitchen when he saw how amazing everything looked (and he has become vegetarian since. I did not want to go through any meals, but a few of the highlights were: -homemade skorone and marmalade at breakfast -quash steaks marinated in sojasoße - roasted mushroom burger -tofu cheese -depth roasted vegetables and craters from the hotel garden -mango tofu eis - strawberry pudding altogether was all rival there
