Visiting Yakima drove by early in the morning to see the old Nortkern Pacific station while my wife was getting ready. Saw the coffee shop a perfect win win!The Stumptown coffee and batista were both great. The atmosphere in the former waiting room was fantastic.Worth the trip... hope Amtrak returns to Yakima soon. We rented a room for a baby shower. When we arrived it was very dirty. The carpet was very dirty and had not been vacuumed in awhile. The tables were dirty. Luckily we had paper towels and cleaning spray with us. The couch was dirty and ripped as well. I would not recommend renting a room here. There was one worker who was helpful but she also had to deal with other customers. There should be more people working on the weekend. The worker tried vacuuming the room but had to go make coffee. We ended up vacuuming the room. The coffee was not as good as it had been in the past. I ordered an Americano and could not taste the coffee.
Quiet and quaint little area. Lots of art on the walls. Decent coffee and snacks. I tried it out for studying but the internet is VERY slow that I just used my phone as a hotspot. The cafe may need to reset their router daily or frequently to help with that. That’s probably one of the reasons why I may not come back unfortunately, unless it improves. I used to go to NorthTown when it was at the old spot and hoping it would be my new place at this spot. Has more of a vintage look. Older furniture. Decent amounts of outlet plugs. Hopefully they will fix the internet soon. Otherwise, I may need to find another spot with better internet speed outside my house. Parking is very limited. There is one spot for disabled parking, but the walking surface might be challenging for some as it’s not entirely flat. Parking: Very small and tight. Only about 10 cars in the lot beside the cafe but there are also street parking or you’d have to park in the other businesses lots.
I had a ham and cheese panini... Never again. But I love this coffee shop.
