Cafe makom offers delicious and nutritious food that is locally sourced and caters to a variety of dietary restrictions such as gluten-free and sugar-free options. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, with the opportunity to play music with available instruments, browse through a selection of books, and entertain kids with games and toys. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a spectacular view.
It can be difficult to find a 100% vegan restaurant in the northern area, so we made a special trip to visit "Makom". The atmosphere was laid-back and spacious. The food was tasty, with a variety of flavors on one plate. Everything was made from scratch, including bread, cheese, tofu, and tempeh. However, there were a few things that I didn't like. Firstly, there was a hair in my food. Secondly, the restaurant is located in a closed kibbutz area, which caused some confusion when we tried to leave and found ourselves next to a locked gate. Despite trying to contact the hosts multiple times, we received no response. Thankfully, a local helped us to open the gate and we were able to leave. While the food was good, the overall experience was a bit strange.
The hosts cooked us a private dinner. It was very unique and romantic. It is not only the food, it's the whole experience. You should book a meal in advance. (At least 2 hours notice)
First, the place is located at an amazing village with a beautiful view. Second, the food was AMAZING! We got a massive plate with a variety of home made 100% gluten free whole vegan food, followed by tea and desserts. Atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed. The hosts explained about all the food they made, and we also bought cottage vegan cheese and buckwheat bread to take home
