they have come here for years and the service was always top notch. the personal is friendly and the bar is always well equipped compared to other places I was. could not recommend a better place unless they are in board games, then definitely visit ludoquist over the road while they are. I got served by a lovely lad with a cool beard. Amazing and fast service. Cocktails on point. Lot's of options and amazing recommendations. I asked for a nice cocktail and I got recommended the zombie, which was really good.
Been coming here for years and the service has always been top notch. Staff are friendly and bar's always well stocked compared to other places I've been to. Couldn't recommend a better place (unless you're into board games, then definitely check out Ludoquist across the road while you're at it).
Great pub with pool table. Can get busy during Friday nights. Better to book the table in advance. Toilets are in basement , could be tricky to come back if you are too drunk . Walking distance from Tram stop and bus stop. Some few good restaurants nearby to consume the booze.
Lovely, unique pub in Croydon of all places! With applause worthy bar staff free samples of the beers, ales and ciders and slushy cider! Honestly, I wanted to give the barman a round of applause. He was knowledgeable about the beers, ales and ciders and seem genuinely to want to find the right drink for my friend. Even though I was not drinking the barman recommended a cider after hearing me say I liked it he recommended the slushy cider which appealed to the big kid I am very much. It was so nice to have a barman so well able to read the clients and he made us feel so welcome with his lovely big grin too. The bar itself is stunning. A lovely two tiered pub with a beautiful restored old wood floor. Chilled colours are on the walls. It is very spacious. There is a big vintage/music vibe here with some great posters and frames of music performers. I think the crowd that would go here would easily be a mixed one from about the mid to late twenties and up. It honestly is a little sanctuary of a pub, easily a trendy place to go and spend a few hours sampling the beers, ales and ciders. Five stars were given for the excellent barman, the novelty of free samples and slushy cider and the breadth of ales, ciders and beers available all presented in a beautifully laid out bar within a tasteful funky pub.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Thanks Sue and Joe. Although it was busy, there were still many seats.
