Shangdao Vegetarian Shàng Dào Sù Shí

A very beautiful and peaceful place with a huge menu. The staff is helpful and polite. Food is delicious You can sit outside surrounded by bamboo in a peaceful atmosphere

The place is easy to find and we had the whole room for us. The stuff didn't speak English, so we communicate about translated app and just showed the fingers what we wanted. We got fried potatoes with lots of chilis instead of fried beans (what we ordered), but they got them free after we told them we had not ordered them. With the two other dishes (oily eggplant and maple tofu) and the beans it was too much. Every dish was made with so much oil that we can't eat so much and take a lot home with us. The taste was nothing special at all.

The food is amazing that we try out three different dishes I can't get my mind to be better, they were all amazing and unique: tofu, bamboo shoot and wood ear mushroom and dumplings

Unlike previous reviews, I did struggle to find it. Both Google maps and Maps.Me sent me to the wrong place but I happened to come across the temple eventually. Front door does not look like the entrance to a restaurant. Ordered an aubergine and green bean dish but was told it wouldn't be enough so added a cauliflower dish. Portions turned out to be big but the food was incredible. Best food I've had in China so far. Menu all in Chinese with no pictures but a translate app does the job.
