The soba had a satisfying bite to it, different from the cold meat soba in Kawakita-machi, but I also enjoyed it. Unlike the soggy meat soba that Valley makes when it's busy, this one was firm and cold. That alone earns it high marks.

We had seen signs advertising "Nishikawa's famous mountain vegetable soba" and "mountain vegetable dishes" in several places, so we were disappointed to find that the menu only offered soba noodles, duck dipping sauce, Tsukiyama Molt pork dipping soba, and cold meat soba, with no mountain vegetable options. However, the taste was delicious. The cold meat soba with chicken broth and thick noodles was particularly impressive. The restaurant is run by an elderly gentleman and a young family, giving it a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
