I am always hesitant to eat in Mexico and still don't in border towns, but we were taken here as part of a cruise ship tour, so I deemed it safe. The menu they gave us had prices in U.S. dollars, which was helpful. The restaurant is in a converted "mansion". Has two large open-air rooms that would be great for enjoying a pleasant night. I ordered shredded pork tacos. The pork had been cooked wrapped in banana leaves... View all feedback.

Turned up for a quick snack and a few beers. The wiezenbier was white alright. It was so white it was almost a milkshake. Sure this shows that it is a live brew but to serve this to the table and not understand what the issue was when we commented was astonishing. The other beers tried were clear but for craft brews they lacked complexity and vibrancy. The sizes are odd. They state they are served in pints of 16ozs b... View all feedback.
The Centro location was not open, so we drove to this. This is at the end of a traffic merger. Slowly, you will pass it - lighting is dim. I don't speak Spanish (only small pieces), but a few staff spoke... some English and they were super nice and helpful. This place is great! My husband has to try a variety of beers (show menu). He liked the best of Belgium. The food was excellent... all of it! We tried pumpkin core dip, guacamole, smoked meat Tacos and the Veggie Burger (I know, I know). I've been vegetarian for years and before the impossible burger it was hard to get a good vegetable burger. They were excellent. I want to! We had a melted cake for dessert that was incredible, but I suggest ordering an extra bowl of ice cream.
Hermana Republica has a great atmosphere. Ideal for a nice meal to enjoy with friends, family, or on a date. Food is really food as well as the local beers. I highly recommend going and try the Hermana Republica burger.
Great lunch at Hermana Republica with our friends. Total protocol observed, including a plastic bag to put your mask in while dining! The APA beer was great, as were our initial appetizers. My food choice was the octopus (pulpo). Presentation was very nice as you...can see. Flavours were really fresh and well spiced. The portion was perfect (not a leg too many...LOL)
We were taken to this restaurant as part of our cruise excursion and it was very tasty. They are also a microbrewery and my fiance enjoyed his beer. The food was authentic and very flavorful.
We had a group of 6. We travel from the USA. We wanted to make a reservation for the Friday night we arrived in Merida. My daughter speaks Spanish so that she talks about her online CAT on her website. They never confirmed our actual reservation, so they tried again from Mexico. We had a table ready for us when we arrived. Your parking is difficult to see in the dark. If you follow Google Maps, there will be a traffic connection right in front of the restaurant. Be ready to turn, just a few feet by. The waiting staff was friendly and helpful. It would be helpful if you were to speak Spanish. The drinks are definitely worth the cost. For appetizers we have an Atun Picante, a Guacamole and a Sikil Pak. They were all good. A person in our group has allergies to nuts and seeds. The tuna shell did not count it, but it had sesame seeds. We had a number of participants, including a Veggie Burger! The vegetable burger is delicious. Outside there was a DJ playing music. It was a bit loud, so a conversation was challenging at times.
