Asadero Cien Teatro - XALAPA-ENRÍQUEZ

This is a great restuarant chain in Xalapa. I like this particular unit, because of the location and wait staff. The food, speed quality of service are first rate.

During our last night in Xalapa, we temporarily abandoned delicious street food we usually does for and came to this restaurant. Being high in the list of best restaurants in Xalapa, we expected a slightly more upscale experience, however the food didn 't disappoint. We had melted cheese chistorra sausage... a real delight. Next up was a nopal (cactus) sandwich made up of two nopal slices with panela cheese between them; the whole thing smothered in a delicious Mexican red sauce. Up next were out mains. We both had the grilled octopus. Usually comes with mashed potatoes, but we opted for the switch to grilled vegetables. Amazing! Wine selection could be better, as they only have one white wine on the menu, which is a semi-sweet Rioja from Spain. Highly recommended for a delicious experience.
