We have been stopping at this restaurant for lunch annually on our way to Blackpool since around 1993! After a four-year gap due to Covid, we recently returned and were blown away by the exceptional food and service. We always like it here. The new owners are lovely. A couple of things....invest in decent quality teabags maybe Yorkshire Tea? Also, get some more modern cups and teapots. View all feedback.
Visited today the lady welcomed us and was lovely along with I think her delightful granddaughter. Then came the very grumpy waitress who needs to go to charm school. Tried to rush us into a ordering even though one of the group had only just sat down. Insisted we had drinks first and by the time we ordered food was nearly cold. The food when it arrived was really nice but spoilt by her surly attitude. A lady also who had ordered cams to see where her order was and had obviously been forgotten and she said well I have to leave now.
If you enjoy good food, cakes and ambiance. This is your place to go. Lovely amazing experience with family. Gorgeous cakes too.
Sat there for 15 mins. Nobody came. Left. I would not recommend. They seem to be more interested in gossiping.
