This place serves a excellent variety of food for lunch at a very reasonable price. Great to see actual potatoes and vegetables on the menu rather than the ubiquitous chips and peas with everything. We both had liver and onions, really tasty and with a selection of veg inc boiled and mashed potatoes, cabbage, carrots, carrots, peas and brussel sprouts. Followed with homemade apple crumble and custard and 2 x 2 pots of tea all for £28. Great value, great food and all served by ladies in aprons and caps. Situated opposite the excellent indoor market so easy to find. Highly recommended
Absolutely disgusting the food was horrible the apple crumble was brick hard. The toilets wherent fit for human consumption
This our second visit to the Eating house 'and both times the food has been excellent ,reasonably priced and freshly cooked. The menu is varied. The liver and onions (my favorite) are to die for. The homemade trifle was absolutely beautiful. We shall be returning very soon.
