Grabbed a couple takeaway coffees and both were great. Customer service was nice and friendly. Now I'm just trying to make up 140 characters so I can post this review View all feedback.
Came in here for coffee and fries on Auckland Anniversary Monday. Staff were friendly, they had free WiFi (which is important to some) and the coffee was good. Similar price to everywhere else around so no issues there. Fries cost $5 and took a while to come out however the portion size was pretty large...so not complaining. Saw on the menu they had 'baps '. Haven 't seen that word used since living in the North of England. Bump of Nostalgia.
If Swashbucklers had a cafe twin, this would be it. With heavy use of wood inside, it gives the cafe a rural unpretentious ramshackle feel. Definitely targeted at the practical cafe goer, this place had a steady stream of local business types. Prices are very good, lots of cabinet selection, but my microwaved vegetarian pie whilst presented nicely lost some of it's texture. Very convenient location.
I had a great coffee from here last week while in Auckland for work. I didn't have any food, but it all looked pretty good and freshly prepared. But onto the coffee. I had a vanilla latte (coffee snobs please don't judge). Sometimes with vanilla lattes places can go easy on the syrup to the point where you aren't sure if they actually put any in. This was not the case here, a good portion of vanilla flavouring. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
HOT CHOCOLATE! HOT CHOCOLATE! HOT CHOCOLATE! Some damn good hot chocolate to start the morning with on the way to work. Just as I walked out of there, I almost tripped over and spilled it. Lucky no one saw it hahaha.<br/ <br/ Service was good and friendly, also striked up a conversation on what is up on the day's agenda just to kill time. Very friendly staff to say the least.<br/ <br/ It looks modern from the outside, but go inside it looks more classic or I don't know how to say but more of that organic feel judging by the dining area and the wood that's used for the design around the place. To me, feels like I'm right at home.
Located on the corner of Beaumont and College Hill and across the road of Victoria Park, this local fav has a menu to suit all sorts. From cabinet food, lunch and breakfast specials, or something sweet you're after, you will plenty to look at and consider. Thr flavors won't disappoint and all dishes are freshly made. Very important to note, so you're not rushing off if your lunch or food break is a tight one. If it is, grab something from the cabinet and add a coffee or hot chocolate or shake. Today I ordered their version of the American beef burger and chicken pasta. Enjoy the flavors. HAKAD JL
