Mentatz Fine Japanese

We had the garlic bread, calamari, lasagna and risotto as entree size and it was enough for two adults. All the dishes were delicious and the staff were nice and very accommodating with us having a stroller. It is a small restaurant and very noisy so if you’re not a fan of loud noise, it could be hard to enjoy the food.

Upscale restaurants with cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Delicious food. Very quick and prompt service. Felt really welcomed though we went there at closing time. Good options to choose from. The only thing would make it best if the pasta were homemade.

Paid NZ$46.96 (including surcharge for paying by credit card) for 2 persons dinner. The Hawaiian pizza was nice filled with a lot of ham and the crust was crunchy. The Fettuccine Sette Sodi was flavourful and the sauce was creamy. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. They helped us to get a table although we didn’t make a reservation. They served water without us asking. The decor was nice but was quite noisy as there were a lot of customers.

An outstanding Italian restaurant! We ordered the risotto, seafood pasta and vegetarian fettuccini, garlic bread, marinated olives, salad and tiramisu. Each dish was cooked to perfection. We weee served very quickly and it genuinely felt like we were in an Italian family lounge at home.

Have been coming here for over 10 years and never once been disappointed. Even with new management, they really put the effort in to make food top notch. Highly recommend!
