Great selection of tapas at a good price. Personal favorites are blue beets, chicken con ajillo, alboraya beef. Fast service, consistent and reliable tapas in the central city. View all feedback.
What Suzy H doesn't like about El Faro:
Good vibe~ great location and it is surrounded by other restaurants, so great crowd and atmosphere. The menu choices are good and limited selection in drinks, but they have good spanish wines and of course sangria~ The bread olive oil is highly recommended!! View all feedback.
Amazing flavors in every single dish! I came here with a group of 12, for a business meeting where we secured the upstairs private room. Even with 12 people there were three other tables available which could fit at least 3 each. Our group ordered several Tapas from the menu: the beans chorizo have large, tender beans, with spicy chunks of chorizo simmered in their own juices. The chicken wings ajillo (garlic) were like mini rotisserie you know how it has that crunchiness? Yes with a hint of salt and... could that be butter in every bite!? Sherry mushrooms were on the table but I did not get a chance to sample them, they must have been good because they went very fast. The Alboraya beef was sooooo tender it literally dissolved in my mouth. I paired this with the beans and man, oh man, did I have a mini feast! All that was missing was bread to sop up the juice. Out of everything selected I was the one to order the Stuffed Grilled Calamari, which I did not like one bit. I love calamari usually, but the sauce was lacking flavor compared to the other Tapas and it most certainly was not grilled. Although I did not try it, 9 people in our group raved about the Sangria. It will not be missed again. The service was friendly, efficient and accommodating to our larger group. We had music in the upstairs area, with no distractions from the area below. It is an enclosed space, so keep in mind there are no windows. Even still it is a great place to get with a group of friends for an outstanding meal.
Great flavors and clearly marked menus for vege, vegan and gluten free. Pricey but so is everyone else in Elliott Stables.

Pretty authentic Spanish Tapas. If only they served Pulpo y Gallega and bread on table. Definitely going back for the paella :
The food was horrible, the service equally bad. There is literally nothing good to say. It was like they dumped tinned food on my plate and served it to me via a surly waitress, while the owner preened behind the bar either drunk, or arrogantly oblivious to the festering mayhem he called food.
