Welcome to The Boars, nestled in the charming Norfolk village of Spooner Row. Here, you’re greeted with a warm welcome every time you visit. Our menu features classic dishes with a Mediterranean twist, blending British flavours with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We serve good, brasserie-style food that’s simple, thoughtfully prepared, and perfect whether you’re joining us for lunch or dinner. Our recently renovated main restaurant, featuring new furniture, is a favourite among our guests, while the agricultural bar offers a relaxed space to enjoy a drink and a bite, with dogs warmly welcome to join you. Step outside to our beer garden, which boasts an enclosed garden, a decking area, and the best suntrap in South Norfolk — ideal for summer days. Don’t miss our famous Sunday roasts, served with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal greens, root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, and rich gravy. Choose from roast rump of beef, rolled belly of pork with apple sauce, slow-roast shoulder lamb with mint salsa, roast chicken stuffed with ricotta and spinach, or our vegan beetroot and mushroom Wellington. All roasts come with Tracklements Mustard and Horseradish on the side. Tuesdays are special here with our £12 menu, featuring many customer favourites, available midday to late evening, giving you the perfect reason to take a break from cooking and catch up with loved ones. Our focus on seasonal, local produce ensures something delicious all year round. We’re open every day, with food served from noon through the early evening on weekdays and until 9pm on Saturdays. Plus, as a dog-friendly pub, your four-legged friends can enjoy our enclosed outdoor areas or relax with you in the agricultural bar. Join us at The Boars for great food, great company, and a truly welcoming atmosphere.

Popped in for a beer and in my case a cup of coffee. Was a bit confused by The Agricultural Bar which turned out to be The Public Bar. Very nice though. Had a very nice pint of Lupus Lupus which I subsequently discovered Is brewed nearby. Son had a pint of Jute which I think was even nicer. My coffee was top drawer. Might be moving to the are in which case will definitely be back. Price per person: £1–10

**Price per person:** £10–£20 **Food Rating:** 3/5 **Service Rating:** 3/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 2/5 The dining experience is reasonably priced, falling between £10 and £20 per person. The food earns a decent score of 3 out of 5, while the service also matches that rating. However, the atmosphere leaves something to be desired, with a rating of 2 out of 5.

Not a great lunch sadly. When we arrived we were able to choose our table and opted for a circular one. When we sat down we noticed some fish on the floor along with crumbs all around the base of the table. We asked if the waitress would mind bringing a serviette so we could clear it, which she did. In her defence she cleared it up, but it was very obvious she was not happy with having to clear up what could only be explained as last nights dinner from the floor (because our booking was at midday and that was first booking of the day) or the fact that we had pointed it out. I would have liked her to have insisted we move, and to have witnessed the area being properly swept. But instead she was surly and obviously upset that we had dared to mention it. The meals were mediocre. Best bit of the roasts were the roast potatoes. When we booked we were told we had 1 hour 30 minutes and it was clear they wanted us to go .. it felt rushed and overall a very disappointing visit. We won’t be returning. And I am pretty sure health and safety would not be happy to see dirty floors in a restaurant area.
