I stopped by for a coffee to escape the heavy rain. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Although we had plans and couldn’t stay for food this time, the menu looked fantastic. We will definitely come back for a relaxing Sunday brunch! Service: 5 Location: 5 View all feedback.
What jack pellegrini doesn't like about Bistro En Glaze:
Lady who worked there was very sweet, helpful, and loved our doggies . The room was nice , clean decent size . Just two negatives , our room lock was broken which we suspect had been faulty for a while . And breakfast isn’t included which makes it overpriced . As the breakfast is very overpriced for example £4 for a glass of orange juice . Rooms: 3 Service: 3 Location: 3 View all feedback.
A wonderful end of our hike. we sat in the beautiful garden had a super brunch, small English breakfast eggs benedikt with our two dogs. we were all well looked after, including the dogs that had provided treated water. we had a meal in the close house in the previous evening and have even rated the food here higher! it is a real hidden gem of a place.
What a great place to end our walk at Hadrians Wall. The room was lovely and well equipped. We could not have asked for a better meal. All reasonably priced. We both had starters and mains a bottle of fizz, white wine and 2 cocktails.. All for about £120. There is also a lovely outside seated area where you can enjoy the sunshine.
This evening, 9th January we have had the most wonderful meal. Our waiters were Matthew and David. They were both competent, professional, courteous, polite and very efficient. In fact they are both outstanding. Their skills added to the ambiance of this warm, cosy, intimate bistro. The food was outstanding. We started with tomatoe soup and smoked salmon. Both starters were superb. Main course for the 2 of us consisted of medium cooked fillet steak which was sublime. The sauce was beautiful and the chips wonderful. The macaroni cheese was fantastic, just too much to eat. Only one dessert of crumble which was an experience apart, exceptional. Coffee was lovely, full flavour. Our compliements to the chef for preparing us an outstanding meal this evening. Our waiters, Matthew and David ensured we had a lovely evening. Thank you very much. We shall definetely return. This was our first visit to the Bistro and we really impressed. Maria Barrell
Lovely food, brilliant waitress, very helpful and kind.
Lovely food, we sat in the garden and that was beautiful. Might have been slightly better with some background music but there may be neighbour sound issues as to Why there was none. The staff are lovely too. Definitely recommend
