What Boobumble doesn't like about The Crooked Billet:
I heard about this restaurant from recommendations for their Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately, we were not impressed with the roast. It lacked flavor and was of poor quality. We tried adding salt and pepper to enhance the taste, but it was still bland. It's a shame because the setting of the restaurant is beautiful. I have lived in the Maidenhead area for over 40 years but had never been to this pub before. The garden is very picturesque and they offer an extensive lunch menu (no dinner service from what I remember). The landlord and his wife were very polite and accommodating. The beer was good and the service was excellent. View all feedback.

This rating is mainly due to the food i was served. The fish and chips was waste of money and most likely cooked put of frozen box.

read moreExperience a charming country pub with a beautiful garden at The Crooked Billet. While some guests found the roast lacking in flavor, others enjoyed the traditional English fare and warm service. The landlord and landlady, who have owned the pub for years, create a welcoming atmosphere. From scampi to nut roast, the menu offers delicious options at great value. With safety measures in place and friendly staff, this gem of a pub is a must-visit, offering a quintessentially English experience year-round. Don't miss out on this traditional pub with a touch of 16th-century charm.
