Patrons rave about its friendly atmosphere, quality real ales, and regular live music events, creating a vibrant community hub. While some found issues with cleanliness and service, many appreciated the cozy corners filled with memorabilia reminiscent of classic rock bars. Recent management changes have rejuvenated the establishment, with enthusiastic staff dedicated to enhancing the experience. Although food isn’t served, nearby options abound, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Overall, this pub is a hidden gem worth exploring.
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The bartender was unfriendly and unwelcoming, there were dogs fighting and crawling all over the seats, and the outdoor ashtrays were overflowing with cigarette butts. The overall standards of the establishment were low.
Good local pub, as a pub should be. No bandits no tv, even youngsters go in and ignore their phones and actually talk to each other
A proper town centre local with a welcoming landlord and comfortable. snug area. The landlord, Tom, keeps his ever changing real ales impeccably and in a few months has secured a special CAMRA commendation. There is music most nights check website for details.
What a proper pub should be. A great welcome friendly atmosphere, a changing selection of ales no reserved tables great value for money. Ensure its on your list to visit
The beef pie with chunky chips was absolutely delicious. The staff was lovely and welcoming. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
