Diners rave about the fresh, homemade dishes, from generous breakfasts to scrumptious afternoon teas. While the food receives high praise for quality and taste, service has been inconsistent, with some guests reporting long waits for orders and table clearing. Despite these hiccups, the warm atmosphere and engaging staff leave a lasting impression, enticing patrons to return. With an inviting outdoor seating area and exceptional cakes, this cafe remains a recommended stop for food lovers and cyclists alike.
Our first visit and unlikely to be our last. The food and drink was all very tasty and exceptionally fresh. The bread was beautiful on the sandwiches (I had tuna mayo with red onion yum! , so fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. The tea, for the price, was the only slight issue, the tea leaves in the teapots took an age to infuse, and so cooled everything down. The service was swift and polite with a warm welcome inside. They made you feel like they wanted you to be there, which is always nice. The cakes are also exceptional if you visit this place, do try one! You won't be disappointed. Good seating inside and out, I look forward to returning soon.
Visited here with my mum for the first time, Easter Sunday customer service going to the NGS garden in Badsey so really close. Food choices, presentation taste were all excellent. Everything is homemade if service is not 'fast food ' style it 's because there 's only 1 chef he prepares everything to a high standard. He apologised for not having the Dill Mayo to go with my Fishcakes, offered me tartare sauce which he had made himself. It was all really delicious. Setting is in a lovely area they 've made the most of the old building which has an interesting history including originating being part of the Cadbury organisation, moving onto being a vegetable distribution centre been involved in the making of gas masks, in the war years. The chef took time to show us 3 photos from circa 1946 of the previous industries. Excellent customer service really tasty quality food we will be back. Thankyou.
We left the restaurant after waiting for 15 minutes for someone to take our order and no one came. It's good to see that they are doing well enough to turn away customers. Despite it not being busy, with only one table inside and one outside in the mid-afternoon on a Friday.
I went to the Potted Pantry today for an Afternoon Tea with a friend. The tea was absolutely delicious and there was a great selection of sandwiches (four different fillings) and sweet treats. I thought it was excellent value and the staff were really lovely. I can definitely recommend the whole experience.
We had an amazing afternoon tea for Mothers Day. It was delicious. We often come here for breakfast and cannot fault it. Great food every time.
