In response to previous review did this person actually visit the New Inn? The landlady has a huge personality and sense of humour , all children are welcome at this establishment if well-behaved, however we all experence children running riot especially in the garden. This is a pub not Mc Donald's. As for the food this is way above average pub food cooked by chef who has been well acknowledged in both Worcestershire... View all feedback.
What Tony S doesn't like about The New Inn:
We used to live in Holt and remembered this pub for the friendly, welcoming place it was as we were coming through to see friends, decided to pop in. Wish we hadn't bothered. Food was expensive for what it was and the old place has really lost its charm. Not sure if it is brewery owned or freehold. Breweries are only interested in maximising profit for minimal effort so I suspect it's a brewery. Wouldn't return. View all feedback.
Brilliant country pub. Dog friendly. Kids should be kept on a lead.
I would of given 5star reviews all round but we had a cheese and onion roll with a bowl of chips between us so we haven't experienced their food as such. What we had was lovely so can only assume the rest is lovely. Its a beautiful pub with really lovely down to earth staff.. we will definitely visit there again
Enjoyable family meal after a walk in the bluebell woods opposite.
Me and my husband went tonight for a meal as thus place was recommended to us. We wasn't disappointed. Really lovely in all ways. We loved the decor so quirky and interesting. Thank you
Visited recently for Sunday dinner after friends recommended the food so we were really looking forward to it. Ordered our food and the young guy serving us asked how we wanted our beef served, we asked for 2 rare/pink and 2 well done. When our food arrived all were well done and the waiter then told us “sorry they all come as we serve them” which is absolutely fine however, why ask how we wanted them in the first place? Soon as our plates were cleared we were then told we had to leave our table which surprised us as, our booking was for 3pm and it was only 4pm so we had only been at the table an hour and had 1 course! Again if we had been pre warned we only had a slot of an hour this would have been reasonable however there was no one else in the restaurant area, nor did we know we had a strict time slot. This also meant we couldn’t even order a dessert or coffee if we had wanted one! Food was nice but staff were very rude and unaccommodating so therefore wouldn’t return. Mrs N
