What Maz049 doesn't like about The Masons Arms:
Seven of us ladies went for our Christmas get together. We had booked. The place was cold (we had to keep our coats on) and uninviting. No atmosphere at all and very little in the way of Christmas decorations. We were given a menu no Turkey or Christmas fare at all. Most of the group ordered a chicken dish as that was about the only item available. The waiter told us that the meat order had not arrived and that we co... View all feedback.
Four of us had a Christmas Meal together. Main courses and desserts with drinks. Every time we come here the food is excellent and freshly prepared. Staff are attentive and polite. A warm welcome on a winter night.
Proper country pub. We picked the wrong night really as it was quiz night last Thursday of the month and all the tables were booked. So stopped for a quick pint and be back another time
This pub is absolutely charming. The hosts were incredibly friendly, as were the regulars. It was a fun and welcoming atmosphere, truly embodying the essence of an English pub. I would consider moving to the village just to be close to this place!
During our recent stay in the area, we had the pleasure of dining at the Masons Arms. This charming country pub is definitely worth a visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and exceptional service. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch and also tried some of the traditional pub dishes from the menu (the pies were a standout). A big thank you to Simon and his family for the wonderful hospitality.
We stayed here as park of the Britstop membership. Simon, Lydia and staff could not have been more welcoming, accommodating and fun. We chatted with them and the locals on a busy Friday after Cheltenham races came to an end. The food was fantastic. Proper pub grub. We had lamb and mint pie and a first for me, cauliflower cheese pie! Couldn’t fit in dessert but were offered a sample which was delicious. They definitely have the right mix of decent food and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
