We had a nice Sunday dinner here, which is very pleasant. excellent portions, good eating and fine service
This was one of the best Sundays roast pubs in worcestershire, but the recent change of the owner has seen the quality sanitary. I'd say honestly, this is the worst Sunday dinner I've ever served. I ate half of it before I get up. Where should I start? the yorkshire pudding dripping in fat and in view of the huge, domestic cooked yorkies was one of the things that used to expose this pub, these small, fat deals were a scandal. one of our party ordered an extra before they arrived and these cost the veg just didn't taste right, again I think because of too much oil/grease. the brat potatoes were tasteless. the flesh was okay, that's as good as it was. oh, and the engraving was very lumpy. we had ordered an extra before we cost it, as it came in tiny little crawls, so there was no way that we were given enough for adult, and at the end tiny crawl the clump-heavy appeared as extra on the bill! I've never seen anything so ridiculous on a bill. we have not been harassed with dessert, as we have been disappointed with the main course. if the new owner has the previous owner number, please call them and ask them to teach them how to cook a real Sunday roast. either that or stops serving food because the mice we were given was hardly suitable for human consumption. last note, this pub was always very busy, but we were the only table that was for the majority of the time we were. So I'll take that to mean that the word's already over.
We live locally and had already booked a table in another restaurant to treat two friends for a meal. when the flyer came through the door, we decided that it would be nice to support the new peculiarities so that our original arrangements were changed to participate in their grand reopening event on Saturday juli. we came to our food order shortly after a few minutes. we got a bowl toast to grazeen, and soon disappeared when we waited for our appetizers who finally arrived the prawn cocktail and pate (we had to ask for the chutney) were in order and while my was a little tepid instead of hot I was hungry and grateful that eating was finally arrived. Unfortunately, a friend had decided on the tomaten soup, which I can only describe as it is presented in the way of julia walters in the classic two suppen, but faster. the waitress has led the suppe over the table, while the corner of her tee cloth was wounded in the suppe. Our friend was too embarrassed to tell us that despite the waitress the bowl had to hold with a tea towel that was suppe cold. we have not complained at this point, as we have waited for lunch for an hour and think about being hungry on hungry fox, so as julie walters (as this waitress will be known forever) served the suppe that she fits us in giggles. then the net came out. I wanted to smile, but the chief said it didn't like it, so he wouldn't serve it. I was disappointed, but accepted and respected his choice to hold the court back. my second choice of the rainbow trout was also not available and no reason was given so that I ended with keema curry. it was quite delicious, but after I just checked the menu I recognized, I never got my chapatti. my man had the chicken-hangman's kebab, which the waitress had described as a large part (it was not) with three times boiled chips and roasted root vegetables. while our friends had a steak, one with an salate and the other with the three times boiled chips and roasted root vegetables. here are our problems. the sweet was cold and while they had a quick walk through the often they had not stayed long enough to cook so crispy. the chips were also cold and the steak was so chewing that a friend was completely abandoned trying to cut it with his knife after only one mouth. at this point we complained and after the talk with the cook told us the waitress (not julie) that we do not have to pay for this meal. Apart from the fact that I refused to pay for this meal, no offers were made for a meal, free drink or even dessert. After we had come so far, we had to try their desserts. I wanted apple crumbs and custard, but was said that it was not available (I had been in the position that in the previous) so I went for a lemon with cream. the others had the profiterole gateaux with cream after they had the unusual offer of custard. to the happiness these desserts were all good. While I understand that this was the big opening night, I would have expected the waitresses to have a basic training. it would have been nice not to ask for cutlery, and it would have been even better if the cutlery had not been left unobtrusively on the table in a captivity of condensation from the more likely. when my man had asked for a more reason, the waitress came into the bar and came back with the three options. then, when she was asked for the ales, she had to return to the bar before she came back with the three options. sure is six not much to remember and maybe we pushed them too far when our friends asked for a glass of wine, a red and a white. she did not ask what size or taste, but just came back and ploppte two glazed down. if they were a merlot, a shiraz or something else, we will never know. So, yes, it was her opening night and it is obliged to sort a few niggers, but if they were not able to produce food that was hot and cooked, then something is amiss.
The breakfast at this restaurant was excellent - hot and delicious. The staff was fantastic and friendly, making us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you.
