We had an absolutely fabulous Afternoon Tea, lovely quaint tea room. Lovely welcome by the staff. We took our dog and he was treated to dog treats. I am vegan and 'WOW ' was way beyond what I expected! Crumpet/vegan butter, cucumber sandwiches, fruit scone with vegan cream and jam, and apple crumble slice with beautiful crockery HIGHLY RECOMMEND 'Best VEGAN Aternoon Tea ' I have ever had View all feedback.
What Days Loved Away doesn't like about Jellypicklejam:
This was our first visit to JellyPickleJam, we had the full English each. My other half isn’t keen on sausages so asked if that could be swapped for an egg, this was no bother at all. The breakfast was very tasty and well presented ... View all feedback.
We stumbled upon this charming little tea shop while searching for a place to eat, as most places were closed or crowded. The young girls who served us were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the tearoom itself was a lovely sight. The tearoom does have dogs and dog cages inside, which may bother some people, but we didn't mind. We decided to indulge in the afternoon tea, priced at 11.95, which included three finger sandwiches on slightly stale bread, a delicious scone with clotted cream and jam, and drinks (coffee for me, tea for my husband). Although we enjoyed our meal, we felt that it was overpriced. Upon looking at the menu later, we realized we could have gotten better value by ordering items separately, and possibly received some crisps or salad with our sandwiches. We expected a slice of cake or some crisps to be included with our indulgent afternoon tea. Overall, we would consider going back to this tea shop, but next time we would carefully review the menu and make our choices more thoughtfully. This visit, we hurriedly made our selections as it was late afternoon and we hadn't eaten since breakfast.
This is our second visit and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, calm and relaxing place to enjoy for lunch or a cream tea or both. Staff excellent and efficient in there service whilst being personable and approachable.
Friendly and great food, plenty of choice for a afternoon tea, old fashioned and cosy, would definitely recommend all year round
Popped in for a bite to eat and what a lovely gem this place is! We had a jacket potato and a chilli with rustic bread it was delicious it really was! The staff are so friendly and the place so interesting to look around with its old English scene.. I would highly recommend popping in.
What an absolute gem of a tea shop, lovely food, lovely staff and those scones are to die for, thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful.
