What User doesn't like about Baotong Temple Vegetarian:
I didn't really like it. eating was okay, but pricy. I paid 40rmb for a small bowl curry and the mock meat had this strange sweet taste. the plate of mockmeaten was ok. I spent about 90rmb, which was a demolition, because just on the road or the next underground station (guangbuton) there is a new vegan buffet restaurant that is open and costs only 20rmb. Decent menu with pictures. Eating is pretty good. terrible service even according to Chinese standards!
I don't have to agree with all previous reviews, mentioning how rude the people are in the Buddhist restaurant of the batong temple. the personal here was very friendly to me, helped me with my bags, offers recommendations to be extremely polite. although I communicated in Chinese, one of the servers spoke a little English back to me. highly recommended. her fried lotus root was amazing!
