I come here pretty often and my experience is always the same: FANTASTIC! David, the owner and chef, is so very nice! He makes an excellent spicy tuna roll.
Great couple moved to Wrightwood in December finally tried needless to say we will be back! Delicious!!!!!
We had a nice lunch here last week while checking out wedding venues in the area. This place has the best Yelp reviews and most veggie friendly menu so it seemed worth a shot, and we were not disappointed. We were the only people in the place, which was probably a good thing because the seating area is pretty small. The chef/owner David came to our table and when we mentioned we were vegetarian, he suggested a special fried tofu dish with a chili peanut sauce. We had that, along with seaweed salad and egg rolls. The tofu and seaweed were excellent; I'd skip the egg rolls next time they were a little undercooked/doughy inside and not that flavorful. All in all, this was a very solid choice considering where we were. I can't say it's a place I would feel 100% comfortable eating sushi given how remote it is. The ambiance is definitely a little lacking lots of curtains and bad Asian covers of Simon and Garfunkel were playing a bit too loud. To get to the bathroom, you have to wind your way through a corridor of curtains which is a little weird. But this is definitely worth a stop if you want food near Wrightwood that is not your typical burger/pizza fare.
Mom and pop shop. Very small but fit our party of 5. Not much to choose from beverage wise but water will do. We had the dumpling soup which had fresh veggies, egg, and yummy dumplings. Water dumplings appetizer was plentiful and good. Sushi platter which my son said was sweet and delicious. Three Bento boxes udon with shrimp, teriyaki chicken, and orange chicken. All three were delicious. Included salad, egg roll, fresh fruit, pickles, seaweed, and California roll. California roll was premade but still delicious. It was pricey but portions were good sized and no one left hungry. Loved that soup! Will definitely be back.
The staff was nice. This is definitely a mom and pop shop. I only had sushi. Sp i cant speak for the rest. But it was not very good. It seemed fresh and i haven't gotten sick. But the combination speciality rolls where just not good. I ordered the Nicholas roll and the triple hot-ties. Stay away from that.
